Support & accommodations at the college level
Many colleges provide excellent academic support for students with diagnosed learning disabilities, the specific offerings vary between schools. Students are not required to disclose their learning disabilities during the college application process, as colleges are prohibited from discriminating based on such diagnoses. Once admitted, students can submit their neuropsychological evaluations and documentation, such as IEPs, ILPs, or 504 plans, to the college’s student support office. While colleges do not implement IEPs, or ILPs directly, they do offer accommodations and resources tailored to support students’ success.
