Experiential Learning (ExL) at Windham Woods School is an active, student-centered approach that fosters deep understanding through hands-on engagement. By providing real-world context for academic skills, ExL empowers students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. This ongoing process cultivates teamwork, emotional intelligence, and a lifelong passion for learning. While often associated with outdoor activities, experiential learning extends far beyond, offering diverse opportunities for growth and personal discovery, both on and off campus. The outdoors serves as a vehicle, not the venue. Experiential Learning at WWS is a catalyst for building meaningful connections, developing career readiness, and cultivating a sense of purpose within a supportive community.
